About Rachel Van Til

Rachel Van Til is a Houston-based Advanced Sommelier and the Wine Director at Houston Oaks Country Club and Retreat, overseeing their restaurant and retail wine programs as well as Bunker 55. She began her career in the tasting room of a small Michigan winery while studying English Literature, later helping open the James Beard–nominated Mabel Grey before moving to Texas to join Pappas Bros. Steakhouse. Her early work in emerging wine regions shaped her belief that local wines deserve the same pride and respect as any agricultural product. She is thrilled to bring her experience and enthusiasm to this year’s Grafted event.
